Day 12

We got up and started the drive to Denali early in the morning. Before we left, John and Brad had one last dip in the hot spring. About an hour in to our trip, we stopped at a British pub to watch Switzerland against Costa Rica 2-2 tie. Then to Safeway for one last time to stock up on food. We arrived at our "Savage" campground tucked in to Denali National Park far from the grid. There were some issues with space so we ended up in a couple spots with a spectacular view close to a river. The weather is sunny and there are no mosquitoes! Brian and Lance have dinner tonight! Promises to be a great one!

Day 11

Today we took advantage of many fun activities at the Chena Hot Spring Resort. We were at the hot spring, indoor pool, trail biking and ice museum tour where they supplied adults with Apple martinis in an ice glass. It rained in the late afternoon but it was still a fun time in the RVs. The evening ended with a fun game of Family Feud.

Day 10

It was an early 5am wake up for the drivers. The rest of us were able to continue our sleep. It is about an 8 hour drive to Fairbanks. We made a quick stop at the Santa Claus House in North Pole. We arrived at the Chena Hot Springs Resort where we will stay for two nights. It is a resort in the middle of nowhere:) Cute place where they have horse back riding, hot spring, pool, animal zoo, atv and bike rentals, ice museum tour and massages. After arrival, we spent time checking out the resort and resting from the long trip. Sabrina and Evan are in charge of dinner. It was delicious!
